    • Aimoga’s products and services now cover more than 60 countries and regions.
    • Aimoga began its overseas expansion in Malaysia, where it first introduced robots into automotive marketing and services in 2025.

Aimoga Robotics, a robot brand incubated by Chery (HKEX: 9973), has surpassed 2,000 cumulative overseas deliveries, with its products and services now covering more than 60 countries and regions.

The Chinese auto giant held a ceremony on Thursday, in its home city of Wuhu, Anhui province, where trucks loaded with robots departed from the Chery International Industrial Park for Wuhu Port.

The figure marks a sharp increase from the end of last year. As of the end of 2025, Aimoga had delivered 300 humanoid robots and 1,000 robot dogs to more than 30 countries and regions worldwide.

Aimoga began its overseas expansion in Malaysia. In 2025, the company introduced robots into automotive marketing and service scenarios in the country for the first time.

Aimoga later expanded into Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Latin America. In March, the company showcased its products at Automation Thailand 2026. Its first AI experience center in Vietnam began operations in July.

Aimoga has obtained international certifications including the European Union’s CE marking and the US Federal Communications Commission’s FCC certification, according to a statement.

Its robots are used in automotive marketing and services, public-space guidance, smart policing, medical guidance and commercial reception.

Competing in overseas robot markets requires more than product capabilities, said Zhang Guibing, executive vice president of Chery Automobile, general manager of its international business division and general manager of Aimoga.

It also requires capabilities spanning research and development, manufacturing, supply chains, distribution, delivery, services and localized operations, Zhang said.

Only by becoming genuinely integrated into local markets can a company achieve long-term growth, he said.

As part of Chery’s intelligent-technology strategy, Aimoga shares the automaker’s research and development, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and distribution systems accumulated over nearly 30 years of global operations.

In China, 110 Aimoga police robots were deployed across several cities in the first half of this year for tasks including traffic control and public-order guidance.

Aimoga began selling products directly to Chinese consumers through its flagship store on JD.com in April. Its humanoid robot is priced at 285,800 yuan ($42,100), while its quadruped robot dog costs 15,800 yuan.

The company is also expanding its offline sales network. It signed agreements with more than 300 dealers at a recruitment event early this year.

Chery established Aimoga in January 2025, with senior executives viewing the business as the group’s third growth engine for driving future revenue.

In addition to Chery, Chinese automakers including BYD (HKEX: 1211), Changan Automobile (SZSE: 000625), GAC Group (HKEX: 2238) and Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) are also developing humanoid robots.

BYD confirmed earlier this week that it will unveil its first humanoid robot in August.

BYD told China Securities Journal it plans to unveil a humanoid robot in August.
