We’re not ashamed to admit that we’re a bunch of Toyota fans here atCarBuzz. The Japanese automotive giant is hard to beat when it comes to reliability and overall value. But, sometimes Toyota’s competitors get the better of the brand.
As of July 2026, we have to say that Mazda andSubaru have Toyota beaton the mid-year deals front, with 0% APR incentives and generous discounts on select hybrids, saving buyers several times what you’d get out of Toyota’s same-old-same-old 3.99% interest rates and $500 rebates. Here’s what you can claim if you move fast.
Mazda Is Offering 0% APR On Select Hybrids

Mazda has come through with some of the most attractive hybrid deals of the summer. To go over the hybrids offered with 0% APR…

- 0% APR for up to 72 months, plus 90-day deferred payment on a 2026 Mazda CX-70 Plug-In Hybrid.
- 0% APR for up to 72 months, plus 90-day deferred payment on a 2026 Mazda CX-90 Plug-In Hybrid.
These offers are all dependent on credit and other qualifying factors, and the offer is good until July 31, 2026.
0% APR offers are also extended to the following ICE models.
- 0% APR for up to 36 months, plus 90-day deferred payment on a 2026 Mazda3 Sedan.
- 0% APR for up to 36 months, plus 90-day deferred payment on a 2026 Mazda CX-30.
- 0% APR for up to 36 months, plus 90-day deferred payment on a 2026 Mazda CX-5.
- 0% APR for up to 36 months, plus 90-day deferred payment on a 2026 Mazda CX-50.
- 0% APR for up to 36 months, plus 90-day deferred payment on a 2026 Mazda CX-70.
- 0% APR for up to 36 months, plus 90-day deferred payment on a 2026 Mazda CX-90.
Essentially, everything with four doors has some kind of 0% APR/90-day deferred payment incentive up for grabs at the moment.
Miata Buyers Can Claim Some Attractive Leases, Too

The main event of Mazda’s summer sale may be SUVs and hybrids, but drop-top fans aren’t totally out of luck. Qualifying Miata drivers can claim a $469/month lease for 48 months, with $3,999 due at signing. Or, you may qualify for as little as 2.9% APR for 36 months, plus 90-day deferred payments.
Additionally, the usual discounts and rewards, like $500 for military personnel, and $500–$750 in Mazda Loyalty Reward credits, are available across the whole lineup.
Don’t Sleep On These Subaru Deals, Either

Starting with the EVs and hybrids up for grabs, Subaru is currently making the following offers.
If you’d rather stick to gas power, you can claim the following deals.
These offers are all good until July 31, 2026, and dependent on credit and other factors. “For qualifying buyers,” in other words.
Subaru Has Some Tempting Leases Available, Too

Here are some of the more attractive lease deals offered by Subaru at the moment:
- $279/mo for 36 months on a 2026 Subaru Forester.
- $255/mo for 36 months on a 2026 Subaru Crosstrek.
- $269/mo for 36 months on a 2026 Subaru Impreza.
- $379/mo for 36 months on a 2026 Subaru WRX.
- $335/mo for 36 months on a 2026 Subaru Ascent.
All of this is to say that Mazda seems to be the big winner on deals and incentives this summer, but Subaru’s not that far behind. So, what’s going on with Toyota?
Toyota Doesn’t Need To Make You An Offer

Toyota Motor Corporation has sold 1,243,389 units in the US so far this year. That only amounts to a 1.36% YoY growth from this time a year ago, but, at this kind of volume, 1.36% is something to hang your hat on. Toyota sold 212,793 units last month alone and is coming in behind only General Motors (1,338,976 units) in total YTD sales.
Neither Mazda nor Subaru work at the same volume as Toyota, so success isn’t measured at the same scale, but Mazda has sold 201,833 units this year, while Subaru has sold 307,749 units.
So Toyota is dealing with monumental demand, but at the same time the brand is seeing supply shortages. We reported on this last month, but the brand has been having trouble keeping certain models, especially the Toyota RAV4, in stock, and supply is very tight at the moment.
The story floating around right now has it that Toyota has been directing sellers to pivot potential RAV4 buyers towards the Corolla Cross and the Crown Signia, as Toyota dealers currently hold fewer than one RAV4 per location. That’s a problem when you’re talking about the third most popular vehicle in the US, coming behind only the F-150 and the Silverado last year, with 479,288 sales in total.
You Typically Offer A Deal On Slow-Moving Stock, Not The Hot Sellers

Checking Toyota’s incentives page, we can find some okay deals, but very little that would have a bargain-hunter buying a Toyota over a Mazda or a Subaru at the moment.
Toyota only has two lease deals listed, one for $269 a month on a Camry, and one for $299 a month on a RAV4, both 2026 models, both for 36 months. There are also $500 military and college student discounts up for grabs.
When youconsider that these deals only apply to “qualifying buyers/leasers,” 4.99% APR sounds like something that, if your credit is so darn good, you could possibly score on your own, with or without Toyota putting a sticker on the window advertising the offer.
In fact, the only area where we’d say that Toyota’s deals have Mazda’s deals beat is in the deadline. Toyota will let you claim any of these offers until August 3, 2026, while Mazda and Subaru give you until the end of the month to grab the offer. Whoopity doo, right? Three more days to claim a deal that wasn’t all that exciting to begin with.
A Good Deal On A Mazda Or Subaru Doesn’t Mean You Should Abandon Your Toyota Plans

Kentucky has been ramping up production on the Toyota RAV4, so rest assured that the hybrid SUV is on the way. Whether you can grab one right away is another story, and you’ll have to keep in mind that dealers will know they’ve got your back to the wall. But if that’s the car you want, then that’s the car you want.
We have a lot of nice things to say about Toyota, but we have a lot of nice things to say about Mazda and Subaru, too. If you like the Crosstrek, don’t hesitate – go ahead and grab it. But if you’ve been saving up for a Toyota all year, our advice would be to do your research and make sure you’re not going to be feeling buyer’s remorse if you switch brands.
