Volkswagen has announced pricing for the all-new 2027 Atlas, and the second-generation three-row SUV is arriving with more standard equipment, bolder styling, and a noticeably more upscale interior. The 2027 Atlas starts at $41,610 for the front-wheel-drive SE and $43,610 with 4Motion all-wheel drive, before the $1,525 destination charge. That places the new Atlas firmly in the heart of the family SUV market while giving buyers more features right from the entry trim.

The SE model is much better equipped than a typical base trim. Standard features include 18-inch machined alloy wheels, LED headlights with Adaptive Front-lighting System, animated LED taillights, a power liftgate with Easy Open and Close, heated side mirrors, black roof rails, front and rear Park Distance Control, and remote start preparation. Volkswagen is also adding new colors for 2027, including Blackberry, Sacramento Green, and Sandstone, joining returning shades like Deep Black Pearl, Mountain Lake Blue, Opal White, Pure Grey, and Silver Mist.

Inside, the Atlas takes a major step forward in presentation and function. Real wood décor and 10-color ambient lighting are standard, while the gear selector has moved to the steering column to free up more center console space. Dual wireless phone charging with updated Qi2 15W capability is standard, along with a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro display, a 12.9-inch center touchscreen, seven USB-C ports, wireless App-Connect, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, three-zone climate control, and newly standard rear sunshades.

The SE w/Technology trim starts at $45,610 with front-wheel drive and $47,610 with all-wheel drive, adding 20-inch wheels, illuminated front and rear VW logos, illuminated exterior door handles, a 15-inch infotainment screen, remote start, KESSY access for all five doors, a 115-volt second-row outlet, and a factory trailer hitch with up to 5,000 pounds of towing capacity. Available options include a panoramic sunroof for $1,200, second-row captain’s chairs for $695, and a black wheel package for $595.

At the top of the lineup, the SEL R-Line starts at $52,110 with standard 4Motion all-wheel drive, while the SEL Premium R-Line starts at $56,610. These trims bring more aggressive R-Line styling, leather or Nappa leather upholstery, a head-up display, available 30-color ambient lighting, heated and ventilated second-row outboard seats, a panoramic sunroof, upgraded lighting, Park Assist Plus, Area View Camera, and a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system on the Premium model. With an upgraded 2.0-liter engine promising more power and better fuel economy than before, the 2027 Atlas looks ready to stay competitive by leaning into the space, comfort, and value that made the original such a strong seller for Volkswagen in America.
