    • Leapmotor’s B10 SUV has started deliveries in Mexico, becoming the brand’s first model to enter North America.
    • Leapmotor’s C10 and C16 will follow into the Mexican market.

Leapmotor (HKEX: 9863) has officially entered the Mexican market, marking the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker’s first foray into North America.

The Leapmotor B10 compact electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) completed local certification in Mexico this month, officially launching in the market and beginning deliveries, Leapmotor announced on Monday.

The move comes as the FIFA World Cup is being hosted in Mexico. Leapmotor held a series of experiential events at the Campo Marte Fan Fest and the Stellar Soccer House in Mexico City, showcasing the brand and its products to local media, content creators and consumers.

The B10 is now available at dealerships across Mexico. Prior to its launch, the model completed local adaptation validation at Stellantis NV’s (NYSE: STLA) automotive engineering research and testing center in Mexico.

The center is equipped with a full suite of vehicle inspection, emissions, materials and powertrain testing facilities, with a research team drawn from Mexico’s top universities.

All models must undergo more than a year of multi-dimensional testing before entering the Mexican market, Leapmotor said.

The testing includes dedicated tuning for complex terrain and climates such as highlands, deserts and rainforests, along with local regulatory certification. The B10 was the first to complete the entire process and enter the market validation stage.

Leapmotor’s C10 and C16 SUVs will follow into the Mexican market. These models will cater to segment needs such as family travel and multi-passenger seating.

On the distribution front, Leapmotor is building out its local network by leveraging Stellantis’ resources in Mexico. After-sales support will be provided by Mopar, a service provider with more than 85 years of industry experience.

Mopar’s parts distribution center in Toluca spans 45,000 square meters and stocks more than 50,000 genuine parts.

Backed by an intelligent logistics system, parts can be delivered to dealerships across the country within 24 to 48 hours, Leapmotor said.

In terms of its sales network, Leapmotor has established more than 40 authorized outlets in Mexico’s core cities. The company will continue to expand its channels, gradually covering more tier-two and tier-three cities.

Local owners can enjoy a four-year vehicle warranty and an eight-year high-voltage battery warranty. Services also include roadside assistance, OTA upgrades and a dedicated concierge.

Leapmotor’s product expansion has gathered strong momentum this year. The company launched the updated C10, C11 and C16, three of its mainstay SUVs, in its home market of China on June 16.

All three models have been upgraded to an 800-volt high-voltage platform, offering an all-electric range of up to 660 kilometers, with a starting price as low as 125,800 yuan ($18,554) in China.

On June 25, Leapmotor launched the D99, its first flagship MPV, marking its entry into that segment.

Strong delivery figures also underpin its global expansion. As of June 2026, Leapmotor’s cumulative global deliveries surpassed 1.5 million units, taking just eight months to climb from 1 million to 1.5 million.

In June alone, the company delivered 93,376 vehicles globally, up 94.51% year-on-year, setting a new monthly record. In the first half of the year, cumulative deliveries reached 356,487 units, up 60.82% year-on-year.
