The 2027 Ford Super Duty arrived with some minor updates to make the family of heavy-duty trucks more luxurious and more capable off-road. Folks who intend to get their pickup dirty can take advantage of the improved Tremor package that’s now available with more engine options and offers an eight-foot cargo bed for carrying large loads off the beaten path.
If the upgraded Tremor isn’t enough of a hardcore off-roader for a buyer, then Roush has an updated package to turn the Super Duty into an even more rugged rig.
A Meaner Tremor, Roush Style
Starting with the base Super Duty, Roush adds its performance suspension system. The company doesn’t detail all the package’s revisions, but it describes the setup as enhancing “ride quality, handling, stability, and off-road capability while preserving the utility expected from a Super Duty.”
The truck also gets a set of 20-inch wheels with a gloss black finish, and a set of General Tire Grabber A/TX 35-inch all-terrain tires wrap around them. Behind them, there are new slotted front and rear brake rotors for improved stopping ability. Trucks with the turbodiesel Power Stroke 6.7-liter V8 get a new exhaust system.
Aesthetically, Roush adds a new front air dam that’s shorter than stock to improve front-end clearance when off-roading. A Roush-branded gloss black illuminated grille adds more style to the truck’s nose, and the package also includes fender flares with integrated accent lights. Inside, there’s carbon-fiber trim and a set of Roush-branded floor mats. As an option, there’s upgraded leather upholstery.
Buyers can also add a few options to the Roush upgrades. There’s a red or silver exterior graphics package. In addition, there’s a package that adds extra auxiliary exterior lighting for better illumination off-road.
How Is Ford Making The 2027 Super Duty More Capable Off-Road?

The updated Tremor package for the 2027 Super Duty makes the truck ready for off-road trails and rock crawling. It includes quite a bit of equipment, such as a lifted suspension, 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires with 18-inch matte black wheels, a limited-slip front differential, an electronic locking rear differential, skid plates, and water-fording vent tubes.
There are also off-road drive settings: Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, and Rock Crawl Mode. Customers looking for a basic truck they can beat up off-road can get the new XL Off-Road 35-Inch Tire Package on the Super Duty’s base Crew Cab 4×4 short-box trim. It includes 35-inch tires with 18-inch Sparkle Silver wheels, a taller ride height, an electronic-locking rear differential, a limited-slip front differential, performance shocks, and a full-size spare wheel. It’s also compatible with the Ford Performance 12,000-pound winch.
CarBuzz Insight – Why This Matters
Roush’s upgrades don’t turn the Super Duty into a full-on, go-anywhere overlanding rig, but the improvements could help someone who works off-road frequently do their job more easily. The suspension tweaks should soak up bumps better, and the 35-inch tires would add traction. The rest of the upgrades make the pickup look a little tougher.
Prices for the Roush Super Duty start at $21,399 on top of the Super Duty’s base price, and the package is available for select trims of the F-250 and F-350. The trucks are available to order now. The 2027 Super Duty starts at $46,125 (plus a $2,795 destination fee).
