In 2026, Marvel and Mattel are both releasing projects designed to capitalize on people’s love for iconic animated heroes from their childhoods. Masters of the Universe has put a live-action He-Man on the big screen, and the second season of X-Men ’97 is about to fling some of Charles Xavier’s mutants into an apocalyptic future. Both projects were clearly made by people who love the source material, and they are similarly filled with nerdy Easter eggs meant to get hardcore fans hyped up. X-Men ’97 and Masters of the Universe are both nostalgia plays, but the biggest difference between the…
The thought of buying a car in another state might conjure images of lengthy drives, unfamiliar dealerships and paperwork and red tape nightmares. The reality differs from this, however, with the path to purchasing a vehicle from another state being a well-trodden one. For the right buyer, purchasing a vehicle out of state can unlock access to broader inventory, meaningful savings or even incentives that just aren’t available back home. For example, the Toyota Mirai is only sold in California, but we wouldn’t advise buying it if you live somewhere else, as it requires special refueling stations. So for those…
A Kalmar Ottawa T2 EV electric terminal tractor has been successfully deployed on an in-road charging system in Ljungby, Sweden, enabling continuous operation without ever needing to be plugged in. Developed by the unfortunately named Elonroad (which has nothing to do with Elon Musk), an electrically charged rail embedded in the road sends power up through a physical contact, slot car style, to Kalmar’s electric terminal trucks, forklifts, and material handlers. When combined with regenerative braking, the system delivers enough power to keep the trucks running continously. “The ultimate goal is to offer Kalmar customers a worry-free charging solution that…
The point-and-click adventure game based on the horror anthology series arrives in August. PHL Collective/DreadXP The Creepshow game isn’t dead after all. Though things have been quiet around the video game spin-off of Shudder’s horror anthology series since it was announced a few years ago, the Steam page just went live with a release window that’s surprisingly soon: August 2026. Creepshow is a point-and-click adventure that’s “gone all kinds of wrong,” according to developer PHL Collective. It’s being published by The Mortuary Assistant publisher, DreadXP. In Creepshow the game, “Follow Danny and his friends as a bad…
Porsche CEO Michael Leiters made it official this week: there will never be an electric 911. Speaking at an Auto, Motor und Sport event in Germany on June 11, 2026, Leiters confirmed that the 911 will remain combustion-powered—and, where appropriate, hybrid-assisted—regardless of how the rest of the automotive world evolves. For a car that has spent the better part of a decade at the center of electrification rumors, that’s a definitive answer. For the GT3, the GT3 RS, and anyone who has ever heel-toed into a corner with a flat-six screaming behind them, the statement lands as something close to…
Few things are as frustrating about car ownership as insurance. You have to have it by law, but rates can vary because of so many seemingly arbitrary factors that it gets super-expensive in a hurry. If you move to a different state, those factors could change again. And we’re not even talking about how rates can vary wildly depending on the car. 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack Track Pack ExteriorChristopher Smith / CarBuzz / Valnet That’s the crux of a recent report from Insurify, which highlights the average costs of insuring vehicles. There are certainly many different factors involved,…
The biggest car news and reviews, no BS Our free daily newsletter sends the stories that really matter directly to you, every weekday. A Canadian startup and some garage YouTubers are on the verge of beating one of the world’s largest automakers to the punch. Stellantis’ extended-range Ram pickup was originally supposed to launch as a 2025 model, and a revised timeline of starting customer orders in the first half of this year looks unlikely to happen, too. Meanwhile, Edison Motors is making steady progress on launching diesel-electric conversion kits for older pickups, including Rams. A prototype is now running…
The Panda’s hybrid drive system helped it to deliver 50mpg-plus in regular driving, but the Sandero came closer to its official figure on test, at 44.5mpg. It also has the bigger fuel tank (50 litres to the Fiat’s 44 litres), so it can go further between fills. PracticalitySmaller dimensions mean that while the Panda is great to manoeuvre around town, interior space is at a premium – it’s really a four-seater with an occasional fifth seat in the back, and boot space is awkward, too. The Sandero is bigger overall, and while boot space is marginally down on the Fiat’s…
Ahead of the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, Amalgam Collection is announcing a 1:4 scale model of the Ferrari 499P race car’s V6 Engine and Gearbox. The scale model is created in collaboration with Ferrari and, if you have the money, pairs well with Amalgam Collection’s 1:8 scale model of a Ferrari 499P race car. You’ll pay handsomely to get them, though. The 1:8 scale Ferrari costs $23,995, or about the same as a new Toyota Corolla. Bump that price to $27,495 if you want it to appear “race weathered.” Or, you can save some coin and get just…
A 456-horsepower BMW M550i that stickered for $73,900 just six years ago now costs less than a new Toyota Camry. We’re talking about a twin-turbo V8 luxury sedan that hits 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, available for the same $30,000 you’d spend on Toyota’s most practical family car. The beauty of such a vehicle is that, not only will it provide plenty of extra toys to sink your teeth into, but it’ll also get you to your destination much quicker. Seems like a no-brainer, right? 456 HP vs. 225 HP: Why This BMW Destroys The Camry in Every Metric 2018…
