- The 2026 Shenzhen Auto Show opens on May 29, with Xiaomi EV displaying its entire lineup, including the YU7 GT.

Xiaomi EV said its full range of products will be on display at the 2026 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show, also known as the Shenzhen Auto Show, which kicks off next week.
The Xiaomi (HKEX: 1810) electric vehicle (EV) unit will highlight two new models from its YU7 sport utility vehicle (SUV) family, including the standard YU7 and the YU7 GT, according to a Weibo post by Xiaomi EV on Friday.
Xiaomi EV launched a new standard version of the YU7 yesterday with a starting price of 233,500 yuan ($34,320), which is 20,000 yuan, or 7.88%, lower than the previous standard YU7’s starting price of 253,500 yuan.
The older standard YU7 has been renamed the YU7 Long Range edition.
The move by Xiaomi EV is aimed at challenging sales of Tesla’s (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model Y once again. The Model Y is currently offered in four variants in China, with starting prices ranging from 263,500 yuan to 339,000 yuan.
Also yesterday, Xiaomi EV rolled out the YU7 GT, starting at 389,900 yuan, marking its foray into the higher-premium automotive segment.
In addition to the YU7 series, Xiaomi’s currently available models include the SU7 sedan series, comprising the regular SU7 and the high-performance SU7 Ultra.
The upcoming Shenzhen Auto Show will officially kick off on May 29 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, with the first day designated for media and professional visitors.
The auto show will then open to the public from May 30 to June 7, and is expected to attract a large number of car enthusiasts.
The overall exhibition area for this year’s Shenzhen Auto Show is expected to reach 300,000 square meters, attracting more than 100 automotive brands to showcase over 1,300 different models to the public, according to the organizers.
This is the next major industry event for the Chinese auto market following the record-breaking Beijing Auto Show.
Other major Chinese EV makers will also showcase their latest technologies and products at the Shenzhen Auto Show.
Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO), is expected to open pre-sales for its updated L60 electric SUV on the first day of the show.
Onvo is intensively expanding its product lineup, having already launched its new L80 SUV on May 15. Late last month, the 2026 L90 three-row SUV hit the market.
The main Nio brand will officially launch its ES9 flagship SUV on May 27, a model that is also expected to be displayed at the Shenzhen Auto Show.
Yangwang, the high-end luxury brand under Shenzhen-headquartered BYD (HKEX: 1211), has also announced that it will attend the upcoming auto show with its latest 2026 model lineup.
Following the record-breaking Beijing Auto Show, the Shenzhen Auto Show will be held from May 29 to June 7.
