Since the Ford Bronco returned several years ago, the Jeep Wrangler competitor has earned a reputation for being the real deal when it comes to legit off-road performance. It’s hugely capable right out of the box, even in its most basic trim.
Now, Ford is happy to build even tougher off-road Broncos with upgrades and accessories through its Custom Garage. All you need to do is order the off-road package… for your off-road vehicle.
The LaFerrari Of Off-Road SUVs Is Here
If you’re hearing James May quipping on the Ferrari the Ferrari in your head right now, you’re not alone. Just announced through Ford Custom Garage is the Ford Bronco ORV Package, wherein ORV stands for Off-Road Vehicle. Are we being a little picky about that name? Perhaps, but it’s worth mentioning Ford devotes a section of its press release to explaining why the off-road Bronco gets an off-road package. If you have to explain a name… take that as you will.
In any case, the purpose is to give Bronco owners an easier way to customize and build the off-road SUV of their dreams with Ford parts. Instead of looking through the Ford accessories book and checking off Ford Racing parts individually, the local Ford dealer can just order the ORV Package, no fuss no muss. So, awkward name aside, your off-road Bronco with the off-road package is actually pretty darned cool.
What Does The ORV Package Include?
Ford combines some nice aesthetic add-ons with functional upgrades, notably to the chassis with a full Fox suspension makeover. Ford also lists a ProCal calibration tool but doesn’t offer additional details. Bronco Raptor skid plates are bolted up, protecting the fuel tank, among other things. There’s a modular front bumper, and Rigid auxiliary lights with an aux switch kit will help light up the trails when it gets dark.
For extra bling, the ORV Bronco gets Havoc fender flares, a “stealth hood decal” that adds textured black graphics, and of course there are splashes of red paint. It’s impossible to not have red tow hooks on anything with off-road branding these days, and Ford Custom Garage also includes red Bronco lettering for the grille. A cool set of Weld wheels comes with the package, but Ford says you’ll have to pay extra for tires. That way, buyers get the specific tires they want.
There are “other appearance details” that Ford doesn’t mention, but we see things like keychains, hood struts, and Ford Performance door sill plates in photos. More importantly – the Bronco ORV Package is all factory-backed by Ford and comes with a supplemental three-year/36,000-mile warranty. Nor do the parts void the original vehicle warranty, as long as the parts are installed by a Ford or ASE-certified tech.
You’ll pay handsomely for these factory-supported upgrades, though. The ORV package is $18,995 for just the parts. Depending on the installer and labor rates, you could easily add another grand or more to the total.
CarBuzz Insight – Why This Matters:
Bronco has been hugely successful for Ford. For the first time in forever, the Jeep Wrangler has legitimate competition and Bronco sales are getting close to beating Jeep. Also, owners in this segment absolutely love to customize their rides, whether they get aggressively off-road or not. Giving these owners an easy check-box for desirable upgrades backed by factory coverage is a smart financial move. Owners are happy, Ford is happy… it’s a win-win.
But whoa, Nellie, we wish Ford’s marketing people could get a grip on names sometimes.
The ORV Package is available for 2025 and 2026 model-year Broncos across most trim levels, though fitment will depend on specific packages and options already installed. It can be ordered through any Ford dealer.
