Right now, California’s Monterey Peninsula is a place where even a McLaren 750S doesn’t really stand out. With all types of classic cars, exotic cars, hypercars, and special builds in town for Monterey Car Week, it takes something a bit more bespoke to capture attention. The Lanzante 95-59 might be a McLaren 750S under the skin, but this three-seat screamer is making its first appearance in the US in production form. And it’s standing out in the crowd.

But Lanzante isn’t just sitting on its hands, showing off a car the world has already seen. The company has some new options to share for the precious few buyers willing and able to get one.

More Choices For America And Abroad

Lanzante has been busy since we last saw the 95-59 in the States. That was in late 2025 at Las Vegas, where the car was still in its concept form. This is the production model, revealing a bit of its McLaren lineage on the outside, but Lanzante has significantly reworked most every aspect of the design. The big news now is the addition of a new high-downforce option, outlined in the sketch below.

Aside from being functional, the aero additions are a callback to the enhanced aero package offered on the McLaren F1. The high-downforce option adds a large fixed rear wing, along with a roof-integrated air intake. Lanzante says the package gives the 95-59 “a more aggressive and purposeful stance” compared to the standard car. For the record, the standard car is the red one you see here, currently strutting its stuff in Monterey. Additional details for the high-downforce kit will come later.

Beyond that, Lanzante announces a new five-spoke centerlock wheel option. This is in addition to the wide range of paint colors, interior materials from Loro Piana, and the lightweight LM30 performance package that keeps this car under 3,000 pounds.

What Is The Connection To The McLaren F1?

Even with Lanzante’s extensive exterior updates, the 95-59 still has a modern McLaren vibe about it. Inside, however, is a completely different story. The interior is extensively overhauled, incorporating a three-seat layout just like the classic F1. The car debuting in Monterey shows its bare carbon fiber tub offset with splashes of purple across the dash, seats, and steering wheel. And since the driver sits in the middle, the center touchscreen is actually the digital driver’s display.

Sadly, the 95-59 doesn’t have a high-strung BMW V12 sitting behind the driver, but the payoff is considerably more horsepower. The powertrain is unchanged from last year’s concept – a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 sending power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed paddle-shift transmission. If this sounds familiar, it’s the same powertrain you get in the 750S. However, Lanzante massages the engine from 740 to 850 hp.

There’s another notable connection between Lanzante and the McLaren F1, and if you’re a racing fan, you already know what it is. Lanzante was the team that won Le Mans in 1995 with the no. 59 McLaren F1 GTR race car. So yeah, they know a thing or two about the F1. That’s also where the 95-59 name comes from.

It’s also the reason why just 59 cars will be built. And now that the production car is out and about, we wouldn’t be surprised if Lanzante lands a few sales at Monterey. Pricing is estimated to be well over $1 million per car.
