Ideal Supply has announced a series of leadership appointments and expanded responsibilities as the Ontario-based distributor aligns its management structure with long-term growth plans.
The company said the changes are designed to strengthen leadership across its automotive, electrical, industrial and supply chain operations while supporting future growth and maintaining its focus on customer service and operational performance.
Ideal Supply added that the leadership changes are intended to better align the organization with its strategic priorities while supporting customers, employees and supplier partners as the company continues to grow.
Howie Pruden will continue as vice-president and general manager, a position he has held since 2021. With more than 40 years of industry experience, Pruden remains responsible for overseeing the company’s electrical and automotive businesses.
Several senior leaders have assumed expanded roles within the organization.
Chris Moon has been appointed director of operations, with responsibility for branch operations, information technology, e-commerce and mergers and acquisitions. Nick Bewick has been named director of supply chain, overseeing purchasing, inventory, distribution and logistics activities.
Within the automotive division, Steve Van Kessel has been appointed director of automotive sales. He will oversee the company’s automotive sales operations, including sales strategy, business development and supplier relations.
Adam Coutts has been named director of electrical and industrial sales. In his new role, he will oversee electrical and industrial sales, automation, lighting, projects, quotes and contracts. Coutts has spent 26 years with the company in a variety of distribution, branch management and sales leadership positions.
Mae Brooks will continue as director of human resources, maintaining responsibility for human resources, strategic initiatives and ISO programs.
Ideal Supply has also added a new member to its executive team. Jolene Seip has joined the company as controller, bringing more than two decades of finance leadership experience. She will oversee the finance function and provide financial guidance for the business.
At Daltco, Ideal Supply’s welding and industrial products business, Mark Rogers will continue in his role as general manager. Rogers has spent more than 40 years with the company in various sales and leadership positions.
The company also announced two automotive sales leadership appointments.
Tom Wilson has been named automotive sales manager for Northern Ontario, where he will lead the northern automotive sales team and support customer growth throughout the region. Nadine VanAlstine has been appointed automotive sales manager for Southern Ontario and will oversee the southern automotive sales team.
