The skies across America might be gray, the air thick and chewy, smelling of smoke from the north, but do not fret because the sun will come out tomorrow (or the day after) and there will be yet another way to configure your V8 Ford Mustang. Now available from Ford Racing Parts is the FP800S Bronze package, which you might recall being unveiled as a high-output concept at the SEMA Show.
Well, the concept is now reality. No, you can’t buy the car. But you can buy the Bronze package that gives you, among other things, a chucking big supercharger that pushes power beyond Dark Horse SC levels. Get it installed by a Ford dealer and you even get a full warranty. And depending on the Mustang trim you start with, it could cost tens of thousands less than a supercharged Dark Horse. More on that in a bit.

There’s a lot that comes along with the Bronze package if you spec it from Ford Racing for your 5.0 Mustang GT, from model years 2024 to 2026. The star of the show is the Gen 6 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger, which whips up 810 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque when strapped to the V8 in your Mustang GT. A few disclaimers: You lose 10 horsepower when opting for the non-active exhaust system, and those output numbers require at least 91 octane premium fuel.
The Bronze package also includes an air oil separator kit, Ford Performance half shaft upgrade kit, uniquely tuned track-capable passive suspension, and the race-inspired Flow Formed R1 wheels finished in Bronze, of course, measuring 19”X10.5” at the front and 19”X11” out back.
You’ll need to source your own rubber to handle this much supercharged thrust, but Ford recommends front tires sized at 305/30ZR19 and rear tires that are slightly larger, 315/30ZR19. There’s an Air Design decklid panel and rear wheel spats acting as deflectors to smooth out airflow and reduce aerodynamic drag for better high-speed stability.

Any Color, So Long As It’s Bronze
Not all of this package is dedicated to cranked up performance. Some of it is merely cosmetic, to differentiate your muscle car: black lug nuts, a unique FP800S interior badge, Ford Performance rear badge, unique key chains, and FP800S-style bodyside graphics in bronze.
A custom grille comes along with a special Ford Performance grille badge and color-matched intake snorkels. Last but surely not least is the “5.0” fender badges, and you can guess the color.
A Mustang GT, Plus $18,500
What does the Bronze package cost? Don’t flinch when you hear $18,500, but that’s just for the kit. Installation charges will vary, depending on who does the work. We’ll toss out a conservative estimate of $5,000 – bringing parts and labor to $23,500. That’s enough to buy a new Hyundai Venue.
But, tack that on to the $48,000 base price for a new Mustang GT, and suddenly you’re at $71,500 for a supercharged 810-hp Mustang that, on paper at least, could outrun a $107,000 Dark Horse SC. In fact, $71,500 is only a little more than a non-supercharged Dark Horse Premium. And if the install is done by an authorized dealer or technician, there’s a Ford Racing three-year/36,000-mile warranty. All total, it certainly isn’t cheap. But that is a lot of power to have under one’s foot for the price.

CarBuzz Insight – Why This Matters:
Ford has not yet issued a formal press release about availability of this new FP800S Bronze package, but it’s now listed on the Ford Racing website for order. It’s pretty similar to the FP800S concept package that was previously offered. And don’t get it confused with the FP800S Bronze Magneride concept, which became available last December. There are lots of ways to make your Mustang even more special, and Ford Racing is now making it possible for you to visualize this worthy SEMA build right in your own driveway.
